My Top Ten Spotify (Last 4 Weeks)
Updated: Aug 24
I feel like the best way for you to get to know me is to see what I'm listening to. These are my top tracks based off of the last 4 Weeks! (I update this list Every Monday)

1. Rexx Life Raj - Handful of Diamond Rings
I found Rexx Life Raj while perusing the streets of TikTok. This artis takes little time letting you know exactly where he's from with the memorable line in the song, Diamonds doing the Thizzle Dance (doing the Thizzle Dance), I can barely walk I have too much money in my pants. The Thizzle dance being one of the staple dances of the Bay Area.
Key Highlights:
It's a fun song: Rexx Life Raj caught on the A.I track wave and showed people what it would sound like if a Artist used the sound, but stayed away from the AI. What a way to usher in the 1980s new wave, UK synth-pop in Big ol' 2026
2. aroomfullofmirrors - "World's Gone Crazy"
I've written a whole essay on this song that you can read HERE.
Key Highlights:
Deep State: It gives me a feeling of Behold a Pale Horse, Enemy x The State x Cell Therapy vibes, touching on hard topics that are currently going on in todays life, and things that's been happening historically.
3. MO3 - "Broken Love" (feat. Kevin Gates)
First and Foremost, RIP MO3. This is one of those songs that stay in rotation. It's lessons from the streets.
Key Highlights:
Their Sounds: The combination of Kevin Gates and MO3 is a match made in heaven. Not only is the song good, it tells the story of betrayal who can't relate to that, and if you can't, still such great stories.
4. J Cole- "Bombs in the Ville/Hit the Gas"
J Cole hit a home run with this one for me. I just love how this song sounds, especially when the beat switches. I love the song, and sometimes, it's really just that.
Key Highlights:
The Beat Switch and the Harmonization: J Cole shows why he is at the top of what HE does. When it comes to making good music, putting pen to paper and coming out with a good product, you can't miss with Cole.
5. 6LACK - "All That Matters" (With Leon Thomas and AZ Chike)
The 3 Nonchalant Warriors are on this track with a mission. And it freaking works for me. I've always been a fan of 6LACK, and I believe Leon Thomas had a phenomenal album with MUTT (2024). Add this with, not the lyrical miracle style, but the laid back, here is what it is, style. Perfect mood song for you and your missus (or mister) to vibe with.
Key Highlights:
The entire track: it's not too much rapping, or rapping that doesn't fit. The singing is beautiful. It's a great track.
6. Isaiah Rashad - "SAME SH!T"
Mr. Rashad is BACK! Same Sh!t is a low fi, bouncy track, that welcomes back Isiah Rahsad to the forefront of Hip Hop. I feel like he's mastered this style of rap, and I'm here for it. He's found his way on my main playlist, as he done since Sylvia Demo.
Key Highlights:
Melodic Flow: Isiah's delivery is both catchy and engaging.
Personal Reflection: The lyrics provide insight into his life and experiences.
7. Mozzy - "If You Love Me"
It's hilarious to me that Mozzy is number 7, because, I listen to Mozzy so much, you'd think I was from Sacramento. In this track, he's talking of the machinations of the streets, and at the end of the day, if you love him for all that he is, then why would he change?
Key Highlights:
The story Telling: Mozzy's ability to paint a picture in the listeners mind is a topic that should be studied by many a rapper.
8. Rexx Life Raj - "Where I Belong"
He sounds like a relic of the Blog era, and how can I even pretend to not like that? He faces doubt and is just finding out where he belongs. He know where he needs to go.
Key Highlights:
The message: The message is about a man knowing his worth and being where he belongs, the Top.
9. Honey Bxby - "A Thousand Times" (feat. J.I.D)
This is the quintessential love song by a RB artist and a rapper. JID always kills his versus I haven't seen him miss yet. I don't who Honey Bxby is Outside of this track, but I promise you I will be learning a lot more. Fantastic song that I think everybody should listen to.
Key Highlights:
Visual Storytelling: The music video adds depth to the song's narrative.
10. Rod Wave - "Hustle"
This might be the Florida in me, but I love a good Rod Wave song. It's a song about hustling. Who can't understand that?? I love Rod Wave. One of my favorite rappers.
Key Highlights:
Emotional Depth: He's able to openly discuss the feelings.
Conclusion
Ultimately, what this list shows is that over the last four weeks, my music taste has been all over the place in the best way possible. From street stories and introspective records, to R&B, melodic rap, synth-pop influences, and songs that I just like because they sound GOOD, there really isn’t one box I can put my taste in.
Some weeks might lean more toward Hip-Hop, some might have more R&B, Jazz, Soul, or something completely unexpected. That’s part of the fun of it. This isn’t supposed to be a “best songs out right now” list. It’s simply a look at what I’ve actually been listening to the most.
I’ll be updating this list every Monday, so if you want to see where my ears take me next, be on the lookout. (Last updated 08/24/2026)
